The Loliondo Lesson

The wise man was right when he said that there is a season for everything. Only one solitary soul can be seen along this road which used to thrive with heavy traffic of people headed for Loliondo, which lay behind those hills.

They were going for the magical Loliondo herbal concoction of retired Lutheran Pastor Ambilikile Mwasapile. A cup of the herb he administered in addition with special prayers was said to cure a myriad of ailments.
The young, the old and the very old passed along this road.
The poor, the rich and very rich also passed here.
Old, new, common and not too common vehicles passed along.
On road and by air many headed for Loliondo ,
This was the gate way to Loliondo, Shompole.
All those who passed here had one thing in common; they thirsted for a sip from the “magic cup.”
They were all friendly to each other.
The rich smiled at the poor and would offer them a snack.
Those in limousines waved at those on Lorries and pickups.
The dark skinned shock hands with the light skinned.
Those with vehicles would give those on foot a lift.
Those with powerful four wheel vehicles would tow the stalled jalopies, as they traveled to and from Loliondo.
From the Loliondo exodus, I learnt that:-
“People faced with the same problem forget about their social status and get united,” as the people to and from Loliondo did.
